An investigative journalist by trade, Bill Kautz has also earned an excellent reputation in the film industry for writing exciting scripts that are a result of both talent and years of experience. His stories are always entertaining and commercially viable.
Here are a few examples that illustrate his work:
"CHEAT THE EYE"
(YANCY BUTLER attached) Logline: Invisible and deadly, radiation from spent fuel rods is seeping out of the hills.
Adventure/Crime (Based on the novel by Wm. Kautz) Logline: To rescue a waitress from her living nightmare, a free-lance photographer and a retired professor steal a fortune in Nazi loot - from rogue CIA agents.
Crime Logline: A lawyer just starting out, a botched drug bust, and she must fight a badly flawed and corrupt legal system if she wants to survive.
Crime Logline: On the run and trying to stay alive, a curious photojournalist and a beautiful computer technician steal evidence to prove a prominent judge is on the take.
Drama/Love Logline: He becomes obsessed with her but she chooses to love someone else over being a singer, and years later, the second time their paths cross, that obsession takes them to a tragic, destructive finality.
NOTE: This script is temporarily on hold for business related reasons. To those who have already inquired about it, I apologize for any inconvenience.
